Back To The Future The Musical has extended its West End run at the Adelphi Theatre in London to 12 February 2023.
Starring Broadway legend Roger Bart (The Producers, Desperate Housewives) and Olly Dobson as ‘Dr Emmett Brown’ and ‘Marty McFly’ the film-to-stage musical comedy is a huge hit with London audiences. In its five-star review the Daily Telegraph called in “Magnificent” with the Daily Mail ★★★★★ saying it “Packs more energy than a nuclear reactor”.
Based on the classic 80’s film starring Michael J Fox, this new musical stage adaption has a book by Bob Gale and new music and lyrics by Emmy and Grammy Award-winning Alan Silvestri and six-time Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard, with additional songs from the film including The Power of Love and Johnny B. Goode.
Lead casting is rounded out by Cedric Neal as ‘Goldie Wilson’, Hugh Coles as ‘George McFly’, Rosanna Hyland as ‘Lorraine Baines’, Aidan Cutler as ‘Biff Tannen’, Courtney-Mae Briggs as ‘Jennifer Parker’, Will Haswell as ‘Dave McFly’, Emma Lloyd as ‘Linda McFly’ and Mark Oxtoby as ‘Strickland’.
Back to the Future The Musical is directed by Tony Award-winning director John Rando (Urinetown, On The Town), alongside the multi Tony and Olivier Award-winning design team of Tim Hatley (set and costume design), Hugh Vanstone (lighting), Gareth Owen (sound) and Finn Ross (video), with choreography by Chris Bailey, illusions by Paul Kieve and musical supervision and vocal arrangements by Nick Finlow. Orchestrations are by Ethan Popp, with dance arrangements by David Chase.
