A new Teen Edition of SIX, the West End, Broadway and International hit musical is now available for licensing to amateur school groups in the UK and Ireland.
SIX:TEEN EDITION is a full length adaptation of Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ Six, modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences.
SIX was created and written by Marlow and Moss. What began life as a one-off student production staged at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017 has gone on to be staged professionally, currently seen on stages in London’s West End, on Broadway and on tours across the UK, Australia, New Zealand and North America.
Garnering awards, ovations and a worldwide Queendom of fans, ‘SIX’ has made British musical history, with music from the show streamed in excess of 450 million times worldwide, and an original studio album achieving Gold status.
Marlow and Moss said: “This feels like a real full-circle moment. We wrote ‘SIX’ for our female and non-binary friends to perform when we were all students, so to now have this teen edition for schools enabling young people to take the mic, use their voice and claim their own space is truly humbling.”
From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, in SIX the wives of Henry VIII take the mic and step out of the shadow of their infamous spouse to reclaim their identities — remixing 500 years of historical heartbreak into a celebration of 21st-century girl power.
SIX is co-directed by Moss and Jamie Armitage, featuring choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. The design team includes Emma Bailey (Set Design), Gabriella Slade (Costume Design), Tim Deiling (Lighting Design) and Paul Gatehouse (Sound Design). The score features orchestrations by Tom Curran with music supervision and vocal arrangements by Joe Beighton.
Six is booking until 2 April 2023 at the Vaudeville Theatre, London. Book tickets to Six the Musical in London’s West End.
