A new production of Zorro The Musical, which kicks off an eight week run at the Charing Cross Theatre from 2 April, has announced its cast.
Benjamin Purkiss (Broken Wings, Bat Out of Hell) stars as Diego/Zorro, Paige Fenlon (Pretty Woman, Oklahoma!) as Luisa, Alex Gibson-Giorgio (Mamma Mia!, Anything Goes) as Ramon, and Phoebe Panaretos (Strictly Ballroom the Musical, Singing in the Rain) as Inez.
The line-up of the full cast is Ajjaz Awad, Pete Ashmore, Amy Bastani, Isobel Bates, Ben Boskovic, Matthew Bugg, Paige Fenlon, Alex Gibson-Giorgio, Maxwell Griffin, Matthew Heywood, Jessica Lim, Phoebe Panaretos, Jessica Pardoe, Marc Pickering, Benjamin Purkiss, Stylianos Thomadakis and Hannah Woodward.
Zorro The Musical is written by Stephen Clark and Helen Edmundson and features music by the Gipsy Kings and John Cameron, with lyrics by Stephen Clark. The show is directed by Christian Durham with choreography by Cressida Carré, set and costumes by Rosa Maggiora, musical direction and orchestrations by Nick Barstow, sound design by Andrew Johnson, lighting design by Matthew Haskins, fight direction by Renny Krupinski, casting by Jane Deitch and General Manager Chris Matanlé.
This famous tale of the masked hero, El Zorro, fighting for justice and freedom is told in an immersive and thrilling new production. Gipsy Kings music in the show includes Bamboleo, Baila Me and Djobi Djoba, alongside original music.
Zorro The Musical at the Charing Cross Theatre runs from 2 April to 28 May 2022.
