The musical Mamma Mia! is playing at the Novello Theatre in London.
Mamma Mia! featuring the music of Swedish supergroup ABBA, first opened at the Novello Theatre in 2012, and has played at the theatre ever since. Mamma Mia! had its world premiere at the Prince Edward Theatre in 1999, before moving to the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2004.
The Novello Theatre used to be called the Strand Theatre (and originally the Waldorf Theatre), and is a lovely theatre now owned by Cameron Mackintosh’s Delfont Mackintosh Theatres company. It was lovingly refurbished in 2005 and is a suitably gorgeous home for Mamma Mia! in London.
