Alan Bennett’s hilarious Habeas Corpus revived at the Menier this Winter
Patrick Marber (Travesties) directs a fabulous new revival of Alan Bennett‘s filthy farce, Habeas Corpus, playing a strictly limited 3-month season at the Menier Chocolate Factory this Winter.
Alan Bennett’s Habeas Corpus is a down and dirty satricial rollercoaster that follows the members of the Wicksteed household. This comedic farce focuses on values of family, friends and hedonistic pursuits. A jumble of mistaken identities and carnal encounters come together to make this filthy farce.
Habeas Corpus is until 27 February 2022 at the Menier Chocolate Factory, London.

The antics of the Wicksteed home are a darkly satirical merry-go-round in Alan Bennett’s Habeas Corpus. Through an escapade of mistaken identities and carnal encounters, one motto holds fast: “He whose lust lasts, lasts longest.”
