Headlined by Beverley Knight the musical charts the trailblazing efforts of the worlds first African American female music manager, Faye Treadwell, and how she fought to turn The Drifters into a global phenomenon.
The Drifters are played by Adam J Bernard (Dreamgirls), Tarinn Callender (Come From Away) , Matt Henry (Kinky Boots) and Tosh Wanogho-Maud (Dreamgirls, The Lion King).
Completing the cast of The Drifters show are Marcus Ayton, Ethan Davis, Vanessa Ela Young, Michael James Stewart, Alanna Leslie, Curtis Scott, Dara Ajagbe, Amari Brown, Arabel Harley and Savanna Musoni.
Directed by Jonathan Church with book by Ed Curtis, the musical features such classic hits as Stand By Me, Saturday Night at the Movies, Under The Boardwalk, Save The Last Dance For Me and Kissin in the Back Row of the Movies.
The creative team includes design by Anthony Ward, choreography by Karen Bruce, lighting by Ben Cracknell and music supervision and orchestration by Chris Egan.
