Ralph Fiennes and Vanessa Redgrave will star in Richard III at the Almeida Theatre later this year.
Fiennes will take the titular role with the Oscar winning actress Redgrave playing Fienne’s mother Queen Margaret. Fiennes who is currently in the sold-out production of The Master Builder at The Old Vic will go straight into rehearsals which begin in April.
Redgrave was last on the London stage in 2013 opposite James Earl Jones in Much Ado About Nothing at the Old Vic.
Richard III will be directed by the Almeida’s artistic director Rupert Goold with the production previewing from 6 June 2016 and opening on 14 June 2016.
