PRIDE Releases Trailer Ahead of Bridge Theatre Run

A joy-filled first look at PRIDE the Musical has been released today, as the production prepares to open at the Bridge Theatre next month. The new British musical is based on the true story and hit 2014 film.

A brand-new trailer has been released for PRIDE the Musical ahead of its opening at London’s Bridge Theatre next month. The new musical transfers to the venue following record-breaking sold-out seasons at Cardiff’s Sherman Theatre and the National Theatre.

Based on a remarkable true story and the award-winning 2014 film, the musical takes place during the 1984 miners’ strike, when a group of friends formed Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) and helped a small village in South Wales.

The critically acclaimed production reunites director Matthew Warchus (Matilda the Musical) and writer Stephen Beresford and features original music by Christopher Nightingale (A Christmas Carol), Josh Cohen (Sylvia) and DJ Walde (Sylvia), with songs inspired by protest anthems, pop, rock, disco and the Welsh choral tradition.
