Book now for Sara Pascoe’s new stand-up work-in-progress show Jazz, live at the Young Vic’s Maria Studio for one night only, as part of Shedinburgh’s first London season.

Comedian, actress and writer Sara Pascoe’s new work-in-progress show, Jazz, is coming to the Young Vic’s Maria Studio for one night only on 24 September 2026 at 8.10pm, as part of the debut London residency of Shedinburgh Fringe Festival.

Pascoe’s new stand-up show, Jazz ,is a comedic hour built around Pascoe “slagging off” the genre of jazz. As a work-in-progress, Jazz offers a rare chance to see new material take shape close-up, in the festival’s intimate, stripped-back “shed” setting, before it’s honed further.

The show forms part of the debut London residency of Shedinburgh Fringe Festival, the purpose-built shed venue that launched in 2025, which now brings a curated slice of its Edinburgh programme south, running at the Young Vic from 19 September to 10 October 2026.

Pascoe is one of the UK’s best-known stand-ups, having starred on Taskmaster, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Would I Lie to You?, and the creator and star of BBC sitcom Out of Her Mind. Her recent stand-up work includes her 2025/26 UK and Ireland tour I Am a Strange Gloop, while her earlier show LadsLadsLads became a BBC special.

What to Expect

As Jazz this is a work-in-progress performance, expect an evening that’s looser and more experimental than a polished tour show, with comedian Pascoe testing out fresh jokes and ideas in front of a small audience, rather than a finished show.

Book Jazz tickets

Jazz plays just once, on 24 September 2026, at Maria Studio in London, so book tickets now so you don’t miss out.

A new stand-up hour from Sara Pascoe, the daughter of a jazz musician, built around comedically taking aim at jazz itself. The work-in–progress show is being presented by Plosive Live as part of Shedinburgh Fringe Festival’s first London residency at the Young Vic’s Maria Theatre on 24 September 2026.
