Double Bill: Tell Me Straight and Aggy in London
Following a celebrated run at Park Theatre earlier this year, writer-performer Paul Bradshaw brings his double bill of Tell Me Straight and Aggy to the King’s Head Theatre this autumn.
The pair of shows offer a candid, funny and emotionally honest look at modern queer life in London, and tackle dating, desire, race, privilege and creative ambition across two distinct one-act plays.
Bradshaw is among the stars of Tell Me Straight, alongside Elliott Rogers, with Jade Anouka voicing best friend Dani, while Aggy features Jean-Luke Worrell, Matthew Jordan and Jack Gittins, who reprises his role from the earlier run. Bradshaw co-directs Aggy with Imogen Frances, who also directs Tell Me Straight. The wider creative team includes Olivier-nominated designer Damien Stanton, lighting designer Cheng Keng, sound designer Eamonn O’Dwyer and video designer Matt Powell.Â
Book Tell Me Straight and Aggy tickets
Tickets for Tell Me Straight and Aggy at the King’s Head Theatre are on sale now, with the production booking from 15 October to 14 November 2026. Given the show’s sold-out reception at Park Theatre and its short run in Islington’s intimate pub theatre space, early booking is recommended.
Tell Me Straight is a fast-paced, semi-autobiographical coming-of-adulthood play following HIM – a gay man whose string of hook-ups all have one thing in common: they’re straight. HIM attempts a 30-day detox from alcohol, fast food and men — only for old habits and new distractions to get in the way. Or will HIM finally change his ways and see what is right in front of him?
Aggy is a bolder, one-act companion piece exploring privilege, race, gender and creativity. It focuses on couple Lawrence and Mahlik, who have been together for a year. After a particularly tough rejection, Mahlik makes a risky suggestion for Lawrence’s next project – that he present as an alter ego to secure more opportunities. As success starts to roll in, this fabricated persona leaves the couple facing uncomfortable truths neither of them can ignore.
Both plays offer a candid portrayal of modern queer life in London and trace how people shape themselves under the pressure of relationships, with wit and emotional honesty.
