Take a behind the scenes look at rehearsals for Heathers the Musical, returning to London at Arts at Marble Arch from 9 July – 22 August 2026. The musical, based on the iconic 80s film starring Christian Slater and Winona Rider, has becoming a popular show since it premiered in the UK in 2018.

As previously announced, the cast will include Gerardine Sacdalan (&Juliet) as Veronica and Louis Hearsey (I Was a Teenage She-Devil) as Jason ‘J.D.’ Dean, alongside Liberty Stottor (Six the Musical) as the incomparable Heather Chandler, Jessica Ibadin making her professional debut as Heather Duke and Lou Henry (Six the Musical) as Heather McNamara.

Heathers heads right back to Westerberg High in the 1980s, where Veronica Sawyer is just another of the nobodies dreaming of life after high school. But when the mythic Heathers unexpectedly take her under their wing, her dreams finally start to come true, until mysterious new kid J.D. arrives that is. Veronica must grapple with her attraction to J.D., her fear of the Heathers and the intoxicating power that comes with popularity.

The cast of Heathers the Musical

Based on the iconic 1989 film of the same name, Heathers was originally adapted into a musical by director Andy Fickman (She’s the Man), and features music by composer Laurence O’Keefe (Legally Blonde: The Musical) and Kevin Murphy (Reefer Madness).

The production coming to Marble Arch stars:

  • Gerardine Sacdalan (@Juliet) as Veronica Sawyer

  • Liberty Stottor (Six the Musical) as Heather Chandler
  • Jessica Ibadin as Heather Duke
  • Lou Henry (Six the Musical) as Heather McNamara.
  • Sophie Manners as Martha Dunnstock
  • Markus Södergren (Here and Now – The Steps Musical) as Kurt Kelly
  • Beau Jackson as Ram Sweeney

The cast is completed by Veronica Carabai (Ms. Fleming/ Veronica’s Mom), John Gurdían (Ram’s Dad/Big Bud Dean/Coach Ripper), Reuben Browne (Kurt’s Dad/Veronica’s Dad/Principal Gowan), Christian De-Gallerie (Preppy Stud/Officer), Ellouise Delooze (New Wave Party Girl), Caitlin Garcia (Drama Club Drama Queen), Alexander Howarth (Hipster Dork), Charlotte O’Rourke (Midwestern Surfer Punk), Thomas Oxley (Beleaguered Geek), Tola Sokoya (Young Republicanette) and Carys Taylor (Stoner Chick).
