The full cast has been revealed for Disney’s High School Musical, coming to London this autumn with McFly drummer Harry Judd starring as Coach Bolton and Disney icon KayCee Stroh reprising the world of the films as Ms Darbus.
Marking the 20th anniversary of the iconic Disney Channel Original Movie that inspired a generation, High School Musical is the first UK non-replica production of the beloved musical. Following a run at Lowry, Salford, the production transfers to London’s Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre from 12 October 2026 to 3 January 2027.
Co-directed by Hope Mill Theatre founders Joseph Houston and William Whelton, with a book by David Simpatico and music adapted and arranged by Bryan Louiselle, the show features all the classic songs fans know and love: including Breaking Free, We’re All In This Together, Get’cha Head in the Game and Stick to the Status Quo.

Cast for High School Musical
Leading the London company as Coach Bolton is Harry Judd: best known as the drummer of chart-topping band McFly and a winner of Strictly Come Dancing, who takes over the role from Jason Donovan for the London run.
KayCee Stroh joins him in a genuine piece of High School Musical history: Stroh appeared in all three of the original Disney films, and here plays the drama teacher Ms Darbus across both Salford and London.
The young leads star in both venues, with Tobias Turley as Troy Bolton and Leonor Correia as Gabriella Montez, the basketball captain and brainy newcomer whose romance and shared love of singing turns East High upside down, alongside Caitlin Tipping as the scheming Sharpay Evans and Luke Bayer as her brother Ryan.

The wider company features Alexander Black, Eleanor Bye, Harriet Caplan-Dean, Alison Driver, Conor Luke Drury, Mary Francis, Sonia Gil-Lubeiro, Tamsin January, Joseph Lennox, Lucas Morlotti, Katie Mulligan, André Phipps, Meg Silsby, Kade Stenson, Ethan Vijn and Eddie Zickerman, with several performers making their professional debuts.
The creative team
High School Musical is co-directed by Hope Mill Theatre founders Joseph Houston and William Whelton, the team behind one of the most celebrated producing houses in British theatre, known for acclaimed productions including Rags and Mandela.
The creative team also includes choreography by Aaron Renfree, set design by Andrew Exeter, video design by George Reeve, lighting design by Rory Beaton, costume design by Sophia Pardon and musical supervision by Katy Richardson. Casting is by Pearson Casting.

For a generation who grew up with Troy, Gabriella and the Wildcats, this 20th anniversary production offers the chance to experience the story live, and as the first UK non-replica staging, it promises a fresh interpretation rather than a straight recreation of the films.
