LOVEtheatre Week 2026 is live. Between 8 and 17 May 2026, you can buy tickets to some of the most in-demand shows on the London stage at reduced prices. Whether you’re after a brand-new musical making its West End premiere, or a Pulitzer Prize-winning classic given a bold new twist at the Old Vic, there’s something here for every theatregoer.

1. Oliver!
Gielgud Theatre, booking to 14 March 2027
Cameron Mackintosh’s reimagined production of Lionel Bart’s iconic musical Oliver! Is a showstopper that brings all the energy, enthusiasm and joy you’d expect from the stage classic. Writer Lionel Bart’s inventive take on Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist has been a gateway to theatre for generations of children, and this production has been winning new fans and tour de force reviews with its dazzling cast and choreography.
With a changing roster of four Oliver Twists, the wider cast includes Simon Lipkin as Fagin, Ava Brennan as Nancy, Aaron Sidwell as Bill Sikes and Aaron MacGregor as the Artful Dodger.
Directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne, who also worked with producer Cameron Mackintosh on the West End hits My Fair Lady and Mary Poppins, expect the old favourites from Bart’s score including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself and As Long As He Needs Me. 2. Kinky Boots

Kinky Boots, the Olivier, Tony and Grammy Award-winning sensation is rebooted in a brand-new production starring Strictly Come Dancing superstar Johannes Radebe as Lola alongside X Factor winner Matt Cardle as Charlie Price.
When Charlie Price inherits his family’s failing shoe factory, saving the company feels like an impossibly tall order until he meets Lola, a fabulous drag queen whose bold ideas might just change everything.
It’s no mean feat translating a popular film to the stage, but the music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper and direction by Nikolai Foster does a stellar job, with critics calling it a “sequin-soaked fantasia on the West End’s biggest stage.” Book for pure, feel-good joy.

3. Grace Pervades
Theatre Royal Haymarket, until 11 July 2026
David Hare’s major new play Grace Pervades is in the West End for a strictly limited run, transferring following an acclaimed world premiere at the Theatre Royal Bath.
Starring Academy Award-nominee Ralph Fiennes as Henry Irving, the first actor ever to be knighted, opposite Miranda Raison as Ellen Terry, the era’s most adored actress, the play looks at the duo’s celebrated partnership, which changed theatre forever.
Directed by Jeremy Herrin (Wolf Hall, Bring Up the Bodies, The Mirror and the Light) Fiennes and Raison shine in this searing look at the true cost of a life lived on the stage.

4. The Book of Mormon
Prince of Wales Theatre, booking to 5 September 2026
The nine-time Tony Award and four-time Olivier Award-winning Best Musical from the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, as well as EGOT winner Robert Lopez, The Book of Mormon follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries.
They’ve been sent to Uganda, a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get and the ensuing stage time is packed with offensive gags, hilarity and high japes galore.
The New York Times called The Book of Mormon “the best musical of this century,” and it’s no surprise that the show has been packing out the Prince of Wales for years: now’s the chance to see it for less.

5. Much Ado About Nothing
Shakespeare’s Globe, 11 June – 24 October 2026
Directed by Chelsea Walker after her acclaimed 2024 production of All’s Well That Ends Well that was also at the Globe, there’s been a lot of anticipation for this production of Much Ado About Nothing Shakespeare’s best-loved comedy.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream stars Pippa Nixon as Beatrice and Ken Nwosu as Benedick as the two characters witty banter and badinage take centre stage in a play featuring not one but two love stories, a regiment of soldiers, witch and old-fashioned baddy to boot.
Set in a sun-soaked world of style and status where image is everything and late-night parties thunder their way the into dawn, Walker’s production takes a hard look at bad behaviour, second chances and the process of healing from old wounds.
It’s one of the longest-running productions in the Globe’s summer season and Nwosu and Nixon’s Benedick and Beatrice promise one of its most dynamic stage couplings in years.

6. Sinatra the Musical

One of 2026’s most anticipated productions, Sinatra The Musical is finally coming to the stage. Joel Harper-Jackson steps into the iconic shoes of Frank Sinatra in this West End premiere, joined by Ana Villafañe as movie goddess Ava Gardner and Phoebe Panaretos as his first wife, Nancy.
The musical kicks off in 1942 as the 27-year-old Sinatra steps onto the stage at New York’s Paramount Theatre and gives a performance that will send his career into the stratosphere. Featuring over 20 timeless hits including That’s Life, One For My Baby, The Best Is Yet To Come and Come Fly With Me, this is the story of one of the greatest comebacks in showbiz history.
Expect a slick and spectacular script, written by Tony Award-winning Joe DiPietro in collaboration with Tina Sinatra, along with stellar performance under the direction and choreography of three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall.

7. Glengarry Glen Ross
The Old Vic, 4 June – 18 July 2026
David Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama of power and competition Glengarry Glen Ross arrives at The Old Vic with a groundbreaking twist: an all-female cast.
Tony Award winner Patrick Marber (Closer) directs Rosa Salazar as Roma and Olivier Award winner Indira Varma as Levene, as they get their elbows out and prepare to fight it out when they’re presented with an ultimatum – win a sales competition… or get fired.
Presented entirely in-the-round, it’s a configuration that places the audience at the heart of the dog-eat-dog sales office for a high-stakes, 360-degree experience. 8. Wicked

20 years after it first set the London stages alight, Wicked’s staging of the untold story of the witches of Oz and how they came to be is no less impressive today.
The 9th longest-running West End production in history, Wicked has been seen by over 13 million people in London alone, in no small part thanks to Stephen Schwartz’s score which features popular hits such as Defying Gravity and Popular.
The cast is led by Emma Kingston as Elphaba and Zizi Strallen as Glinda, who are also joined by Broadway favourite Jordan Litz making his West End debut as Fiyero.
The musical is a genuine phenomenon, and in its anniversary year, an essential booking whether it’s your first time or your fifth.

9. An Ideal Husband

Few playwrights do wit and satire as well as Oscar Wilde and An Ideal Husband is Wilde roll out his sharpest satire and wit.
Staged on the 100th anniversary of the play’s last appearance at the Lyric in 1926, this contemporary production relocates Oscar Wilde’s classic comedy from the stuffy environs of Victorian London to the equally stuffy world of present-day London’s upper milieu.
Nicolai La Barrie’s take on the classic material adds a twist to the tale of politician Sir Robert Chiltern desperately trying to ward off scandal as the devious Mrs Cheveley spills secrets that could destroy him.
Starring Jamael Westman as Lord Goring, Aurora Perrineau as Mrs Cheveley and Tamara Lawrance as Lady Chiltern, Wilde’s social satire feels as fresh as ever.

10. Avenue Q

Avenue Q exploded onto the London stage all the way back in 2006, bringing with it risqué jokes, sexual relations between puppets (yes, really) and a surprisingly touching reflection on becoming an adult and finding your way in a sometimes-challenging modern world.
The Tony Award-winning musical has returned to the West End for its 20th anniversary, with the original Broadway director Jason Moore and puppet designer Rick Lyon reuniting to bring the show back to the stage.
The musical, described loosely as Sesame Street for adults, follows Princeton as he finishes university, moves to Avenue Q and tries to build his life amidst the neighbourhood’s colourful residents.
Part puppet show, part razor-sharp comedy, it’s still a riot and you won’t be able to get the songs out of your head for weeks.

11. Cyrano de Bergerac
Noël Coward Theatre, 13 June – 5 September 2026
Cyrano de Bergerac won critical acclaim during its run at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford last year and its West End transfer promises to be equally compelling.
Olivier Award winner Adrian Lester reprises his role as the legendary large-nosed poet and duellist Cyrano who loves the winsome Roxane. Insecure about his nose, Cyrano writes love letters to Roxane on behalf of another suitor, the handsome but inarticulate Christian. Drama ensues, but will true love win out?
Co-adapted by director Simon Evans and Debris Stevenson, it’s a fresh look at this classic comedy of errors.

12. The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

Transferring directly from its world premiere at the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon, bold new musical The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind tells an extraordinary true story of William Kamkwamba. The13-year-old boy from drought-stricken Malawi sets out to build a windmill to save his village, armed only with library books and scraps of old machinery.
Alistair Nwachukwu (Choir Boy, The Line of Beauty) leads the cast as William, joined by Madeline Appiah, Tsemaye Bob-Egbe and Sifiso Mazibuko. The powerhouse behind the 2019 film Chiwetel Ejiofor (Bridget Jones: Mad about the Boy, 12 Years a Slave, Othello), joins the West End production as Executive Producer, working alongside director Lynette Linton.
It’s an uplifting play that’s family-friendly and a great choice for anyone who loves a tale of hope against impossible odds.

13. The Play That Goes Wrong
Duchess Theatre, booking to October 2027
If you haven’t seen the West End’s longest-running comedy, The Play That Goes Wrong, now is the time. This tour-de-force comedy keeps winning crowds for good reason – its chaotic tale of accident-prone thespians attempting to stage a classic murder mystery is a bundle of light-hearted laughs.
The clue is in the name: the premise of staging a play might be a simple one, but everything that can go wrong does – taking the audience on a series of twists and turns as the drama society lurch from one mishap to another.
Winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, it’s testament to the play that it’s still packing out seats in The Duchess theatre 12 years later.

Directed and Tony Award winner Patrick Marber can do no wrong. We’ve already featured his new all-female production of Glengarry Glen Ross earlier in this guide. The Producers is an entirely different beast: a revival of Mel Brooks’ famous film-then-musical, complete with catchy melodies and gags galore.
Starring Andy Nyman as Max Bialystock and Marc Antolin as Leo Bloom: the two hapless producers whose scheme to stage the world’s biggest flop backfires spectacularly, it’s outrageous, funny and one of the season’s smash hits.

15. As You Like It
Shakespeare’s Globe, 14 August – 25 October 2026
As You Like It’s Forest of Arden is one of Shakespeare’s most joyful settings. Filled with music and burgeoning possibility, it’s a fitting backdrop for the tale of mistaken identities and playful lovers.
This incarnation of the play is co-directed by the Globe’s Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes alongside Associate Artist Charlie Josephine (who also plays Orlando). Together, they transform the Globe stage into a space for self-exploration and freedom underneath the open-air.
