Full casting has been confirmed for the highly anticipated UK premiere of Sarah Ruhl’s acclaimed romantic comedy, Stage Kiss.
The production will run for a strictly limited season at Hampstead Theatre from 8 May to 13 June 2026.

Hollywood stars cast in leads
The story follows two actors with a volatile romantic history who are unexpectedly cast as the leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama.
Award-winning Swedish stage and screen star MyAnna Buring (Kill List, Witcher, Twilight) stars as She in the play, alongside Patrick Kennedy (Blue Moon, The Day of the Jackal, Boardwalk Empire, War Horse) as He.
The cast also features Toto Bruin (It’s A Sin) as Angela / Millie, Oliver Dimsdale (The Argument) as Husband / Harrison, James Phoon (Much Ado About Nothing) as Kevin / Butler / Doctor / Pimp, Rolf Saxon (Mission Impossible – Final Reckoning) as Director, and Jill Winternitz (Once) as Laurie / Millicent.

Directed by Blanche McIntyre (The Invention of Love), Stage Kiss arrives in London following a hit New York run in 2014. The play is written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl, whose previous works include The Clean House and In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play).
The play is a “show-within-a-show.” While the story being rehearsed is a 1930s tear-jerker set in New York, the actual setting is 2011 in New Haven. As opening night nears, the explosive history between the two leads threatens to derail the production as life begins to imitate art.
