Two major musicals have announced additional dates for their UK and Ireland tours.

Current West End show Back to the Future, and long-running touring musical Blood Brothers, have both announced additional touring venues this week.

The news comes as Operation Mincemeat has started its major new 40-date UK and Ireland tour this week, kicking off at The Lowry Theatre in Salford.

Blood Brothers adds 2027 dates

Much-loved musical Blood Brothers by Willy Russell has added a number of new tour dates.

The show is booking by seasons, with the spring 2026 tour now playing, and autumn 2026 coming up. A big announcement was made in December about the Blood Brothers spring 2026 dates and cast.

New dates have now been confirmed for spring 2027, which starts in Southampton on 19 January 2027, and then plays Brighton and Cardiff. Further dates are to be announced.

Coming to Crewe on 20 February, the cast of Blood Brothers currently stars Vivienne Carlyle as Mrs Johnstone, Sean Jones and Joe Sleight as twin brothers Mickey and Eddie, Gemma Brodrick as Linda, and Laura Harrison as Mrs Lyons. Richard Munday and Kristofer Harding will share the role of the Narrator.

Blood Brothers is written by award-winning playwright Willy Russell (Educating Rita, Shirley Valentine), and tells the moving tale of twins separated at birth, who grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences.
