The cast of the London production of Les Misérables will gather for Christmas carols next week in the West End.
The free event will see the company of Les Mis sing Christmas carols outside the Ham Yard Hotel, around the corner from the Sondheim Theatre where Les Misérables plays.
The carols are in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, and will take place this Wednesday 10 December 2025, between 5pm and 6pm.
Les Misérables, which is the world’s longest-running musical, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary in London.
Cameron Mackintosh’s iconic production of Boublil and Schönberg’s musical first opened in London in October 1985, and celebrated its 40th anniversary this year with a special gala performance.

The cast of Les Misérables currently stars Ian McIntosh as Jean Valjean alongside Sam Oladeinde as Javert, Katie Hall as Fantine, Adam Gillen as Thénardier, Claire Machin as Madame Thénardier, Thiago Phillip Felizardo as Marius, Amena El-kindy as Éponine, Joe Griffiths-Brown as Enjolras and Izzi Levine as Cosette
The company is completed by Hollie Aires, Aidan Banyard, Ella May Carter, Nicholas Carter, Matthew Dale, Irfan Damani, Lila Falce-Bass, Sophie-May Feek, Jessica Johns-Parsons, Seán Keany, Chris Kiely, Sam Kipling, Mia Lamb, Sarah Lark, Ollie Llewelyn-Williams, Matthew McConnell, Aaron-Jade Morgan, Adam Pearce, William Pennington, Jordan Simon Pollard, Lewis Renninson, Danielle Rose, Georgia Tapp, Noah Thallon, Imaan Victoria, and Danny Whelan.
Les Misérables The Arena Spectacular
Also part of the 40th anniversary celebrations is the current Les Misérables The Arena Spectacular world tour, an expanded version of the Les Mis Staged Concert, with a company of over 110 actors, musicians and crew. The major world tour of this Arena version began performances at SSE Arena Belfast on 19 September 2024, and has then travelled around the UK, Europe, Australia, and now Asia. Further UK, Ireland and US tour dates have also now been announced, including the Royal Albert Hall in London and Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Les Misérables is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg and is based on the novel by Victor Hugo, with music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, additional material by James Fenton and adaptation by Trevor Nunn and John Caird. Orchestrations are by Stephen Metcalfe, Christopher Jahnke and Stephen Brooker, with original orchestrations by John Cameron.
