A brand-new track, “Burn Our Bodies,” has been released from the highly anticipated new musical Coven, which opens at London’s Kiln Theatre this month.

The song, written by Rebecca Brewer and Grammy Award winner Daisy Chute, is performed by the show’s company and is available to watch in an exclusive new video released today.

Directed by Olivier Award winner Miranda Cromwell, Coven will begin performances at the Kiln Theatre on 31 October 2025, and today extended its run to 17 January 2026 due to high demand.

“Burn Our Bodies” is a fierce, emotional anthem that captures the heart of Coven — a story of women accused, silenced and fighting to reclaim their voices. Blending folk influences with soaring theatrical harmonies, the song reimagines the spirit of the Pendle Witch Trials for a contemporary audience.

Coven stars Allyson Ava-Brown (Hamilton), Rachel Barnes (Grapes of Wrath), Gabrielle Brooks (Get Up Stand Up, Shadow and Bone), Shiloh Coke (Chiaroscuro), Rosalind Ford (In Clay), Penny Layden (The Ocean at the End of the Lane) Holly Mallett (Are You Ready to Rock?), Lauryn Redding (Standing at the Sky’s Edge), Kathryn Tindall (Mamma Mia! The Party), Diana Vickers (I Wish You Well -The Gwyneth Paltrow Ski-Trial Musical) and Jacinta Whyte (Juno and the Paycock), with Jennifer Whyte (Les Misérables) on keys.

Set in 1612 Lancashire, Coven follows nine-year-old Jennet, whose accusation of witchcraft against her own family changes her life forever. Twenty-one years later, she finds herself imprisoned alongside the women she once condemned, forced to confront her past and the legacy of her actions.

Coven is written by Rebecca Brewer, with music and lyrics by Brewer and Daisy Chute, and directed by Miranda Cromwell. The creative team includes Jasmine Swan (design), Zeynep Kepekli (lighting), Helen Atkinson (sound), Jennifer Whyte (musical supervision), Shelley Maxwell (choreography), Laura Cubitt (puppetry direction), Hazel Holder (voice coach), Rosie Pearson (casting), and Tom Wright (dramaturg).
