The full cast has been announced for the Almeida Theatre’s forthcoming world premiere production of Romans, a novel by Alice Birch.
Romans, a novel is playing at the Almeida in London from 9 September to 11 October 2025.
Casting already announced includes Olivier Award-winner Kyle Soller (The Inheritance; Andor).
He will be joined by Declan Conlon (The Tudors, Faith Healer), Yanexi Enriquez (Ballet Shoes), Olivier Huband (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Our Country’s Good), Oliver Johnstone (The Real Thing, Retrograde), Jerry Killick (The Other Place), Adelle Leonce (Fool Me Once, Anna Karenina), Agnes O’Casey (Black Doves, The Spy Who Came In From The Cold) and Stuart Thompson (Spring Awakening).
Directed by former Royal Court Associate Director Sam Pritchard, Romans, a novel is the new play from award-winning writer Alice Birch (Anatomy of a Suicide; Normal People), and is billed as a monumental, kaleidoscopic portrait of masculinity from the nineteenth century to the present day, exploring how male narratives have shaped the world we know.
Joining Sam Pritchard in the creative team are Set and Costume Designer Merle Hensel, Lighting Designer Lee Curran, Sound Designer Benjamin Grant, Composer Jasmin Kent Rodgman, Movement Director Hannes Langolf, Casting Director Amy Ball CDG, and Assistant Director Neetu Singh.
Romans, a novel is running at the Almeida Theatre from 9 September to 11 October 2025.
