The hit stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile is heading out on a new UK tour in 2026.
This wickedly funny family musical is returning to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in London this summer, from 15 August to 7 September 2025.
Ahead of London, the tour will visit the Theatre Royal Windsor, and following London will play at The Lowry in Salford.
The 2026 tour starts at the Theatre Royal Brighton on 27 March 2026 before visiting London Kingston, Aylesbury, Poole, Newcastle, Cardiff, Shrewsbury, York, Nottingham, Bristol, Bradford and Glasgow.
The Enormous Crocodile The Musical will also play a US season this autumn, at the Children’s Theatre Company, Minneapolis and the Kirk Douglas Theatre, Los Angeles.
The musical is based on Roald Dahl’s book, with music by Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab, book and lyrics by Suhayla El-Bushra, and additional music and lyrics by Tom Brady.
The show was developed and is directed by Emily Lim, featuring puppets by co-director and puppetry designer Toby Olié, set and costume design by Fly Davis, puppetry co-designed and supervised by Daisy Beattie, casting by Annelie Powell, choreography by Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu, lighting by Jessica Hung Han Yun and sound by Tom Gibbons.
In the show, the Enormous Crocodile is weaving his way through the jungle in search of delicious little fingers and squidgy podgy knees… Only the other jungle creatures can foil his secret plans and clever tricks, but they’re going to have to find a large amount of courage to stop this greedy brute!
The Enormous Crocodile The Musical was developed by Roald Dahl Story Company, Emily Lim, Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab, Suhayla El-Bushra and Tom Brady, and originally co-produced by Roald Dahl Story Company, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and Leeds Playhouse.
The Enormous Crocodile is playing at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from 15 August to 7 September 2025.
