After thirty years in the departure lounge, the beloved Air Scotia crew returns in The High Life – The Musical, an uproarious, camp-fuelled new stage show starring original cast members Alan Cumming, Forbes Masson, Siobhan Redmond and Patrick Ryecart.

This world premiere production is part of the National Theatre of Scotland’s 20th anniversary season and is set to tour Scotland in Spring 2026 – with London audiences hopeful for an unscheduled stop.

What’s The High Life musical about?

Air Scotia has been sold. And unless its flamboyant, farcical flight crew can prove they’re still fit for purpose, their wings may be clipped for good. In a desperate bid to save their jobs (and their gin trolley), Steve, Sebastian, Shona and Captain Hilary Duff face one final flight – packed with turbulence, friendship fallouts, and mile-high musical madness.

The High Life – The Musical reunites the sitcom’s original stars and characters – the snippy Sebastian (Alan Cumming), scheming Steve (Forbes Masson), fierce Shona (Siobhan Redmond), and the daffy Captain Duff (Patrick Ryecart) – with a brand-new story full of nostalgia, sharp wit, and show-stopping tunes.

Now, with new music, a riotous book, and a glorious stage reboot, this musical promises to be a high-camp, high-energy celebration of Scottish comedy and character.
