They are joined by Matthew Woodyatt as alternate Tevye and Mordcha / Innkeeper, Dan Wolff as Motel, Daniel Krikler as Perchik, Gregor Milne as Fyedka, Michael S. Siegel as Lazar Wolf, Mark Faith as the Rabbi, Toby Turpin as Mendel, Gareth Davies as Avram, Ed Bruggemeyer as Nachum, Sue Appleby as Shandel, Susannah van den Berg as Rifka, Carys McQueen as Mirila, Raphael Papo as The Fiddler, Karl Wilson as the Constable, Simon Anthony as Sasha, Jack Osmond as Russian #1, and Alex Pinder as Russian #2. The Barbican run will be followed by a major five-month UK and Ireland tour from 24 July until 6 December. This will be the first UK tour of this classic musical in over 12 years.

Casting for the UK & Ireland tour is to be announced.

The Producers said in a statement: “We are delighted to bring together a first class cast for this landmark production of Fiddler on the Roof. With Olivier nominees and a host of remarkable new talent, this ensemble embodies the heart, soul, and spirit of this timeless story. Barbican audiences are in for something truly special this summer.”

The Broadway classic ran at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from 27 July to 28 September 2024. In its 5-star review, The Telegraph hailed it as a “spine-tingling production,” declaring, “This triumphant revival of the classic musical… is a masterclass in balancing innovation with tradition.” Meanwhile, The Evening Standard described it as “liberating,” “hugely moving,” and “sensitively revised”.
