Julian Ovenden, the acclaimed star of Downton Abbey, Bridgerton, and major West End and Broadway musicals, will appear in concert at His Majesty’s Theatre, London, on Sunday 7 September at 6pm.

Following sell-out performances at Chichester Festival Theatre and Cadogan Hall, Ovenden brings his solo show to the West End for one night only. The evening will feature songs that span his celebrated career, from musical theatre classics to standout numbers from South Pacific, for which he was Olivier Award-nominated.

Joining him on stage will be Scott Frankel, the Tony Award-nominated Broadway composer and musical director, who will accompany on piano. Frankel’s credits include Grey Gardens and War Paint on Broadway, as well as musical direction for Into the Woods, Les Misérables, and Falsettos.

Ovenden, known for his rich baritone and charismatic stage presence, has enjoyed a multifaceted career across stage and screen. His recent appearances in global TV hits have cemented his reputation as a performer of rare versatility and charm. His many theatre credits include hit musicals South Pacific, Showboat, Sunday in the Park with George, Finding Neverland, Annie Get Your Gun, and Merrily We Roll Along.

The concert is produced by Lambert Jackson. The event promises an evening of “true West End class and more than a sprinkling of musical theatre magic.”
