The stars of hit West End musical Cabaret, Billy Porter and Marisha Wallace, both announced exclusive news this morning on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2.
Emmy, Tony and Grammy award winner Billy Porter (Pose) is currently playing The Emcee in the acclaimed show at the Kit Kat Club in London, alongside double Olivier Award-nominee Marisha Wallace (Guys & Dolls, Dreamgirls) as Sally Bowles.
Billy revealed to Scott Mills that, “I have a single dropping in the next few weeks. It’s a duet with Beverley Knight“.
Porter and Knight are about to host this year’s 2025 Olivier Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday 6 April.
Olivier Award-winner Beverley Knight is starring in new show Marie & Rosetta at the Rose Theatre in Kingston and Chichester Festival Theatre this spring.
Marisha Wallace also announced live on the show that her acclaimed solo concert at the Adelphi Theatre on 11 March 2025 will be released as a live album.
Marisha told Scott Mills that: “I just did my biggest headline show ever at the Adelphi a couple of weeks ago… [and] we have made it into a live album that will be dropping very soon. So you get to relive the whole thing if you missed it, or if you were there and you want to relive the whole moment because it was electric.”
The concert included special guests Lucie Jones (Waitress, Les Misérables, Wicked) and Laura Baldwin (Waitress, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella), reuniting on the Adelphi stage where all three wowed audiences in Waitress.

Billy and Marisha are starring in Cabaret until 24 May 2025.
Marisha Wallace recently performed at the National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals in Manchester, singing Maybe This Time from the show; and you can watch her incredible performance on Big Night of Musicals on BBC One this Saturday, 22 March, at 6.50pm.
In other Billy Porter news this week, Porter is directing a revival of This Bitter Earth at Soho Theatre this summer (18 June to 26 July 2025), starring Omari Douglas and Alexander Lincoln.
Cabaret announced this week that it is extending its run again at the Kit Kat Club in London, and is now booking to 28 March 2026.
The current cast of Cabaret also includes Daniel Bowerbank as Clifford Bradshaw, Fenton Gray as Herr Schultz, Fred Haig as Ernst Ludwig and Jessica Kirton as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie. The cast is completed by Xenoa Campbell-Ledgister, Sam Darius, Damon Gould, Adrian Grove, El Haq Latief, Justin-Lee Jones, Ela Lisondra, Hícaro Nicolai, Andy Rees, Alexandra Regan, Marina Tavolieri, Ben Simon Wilson, Anne-Marie Wojna, Patrick Wilden and Lucy Young.
Winner of a record-breaking 7 Olivier Awards, Cabaret is directed by Rebecca Frecknall, and boasts an iconic score, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff, based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.
