Olivier and Tony Award-winners, actor Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and director Ivo van Hove, are tipped to be reuniting on a new production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons for the West End
The West End rumour mill is in overdrive today as Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston is said to be eyeing a return to the West End stage.
Multi-award-winners Bryan Cranston (Argo, Network) and director Ivo van Hove (A Little Life) may be reuniting for the project, a major new production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, directed by van Hove.
Cranston was last on stage in London in 2017, at the National Theatre starring in the acclaimed stage adaptation of movie Network, also directed by Ivo van Hove. Cranston won Best Actor Olivier and Tony Awards for the role.
Bryan Cranston will play Joe Keller in the new production of All My Sons, a businessman whose decision to sell faulty airplane parts during World War II results in the deaths of 21 pilots, and centres on themes of guilt, accountability, and morality of the American Dream.
On stage, Cranston has also won a Tony Award on Broadway for his 2013 portrayal of Lyndon B. Johnson in Robert Schenkkan’s All the Way.
Bryan Cranston’s previous screen roles include playing Walter White in the hit TV series Breaking Bad; Malcolm in the Middle; Trumbo; and Steven Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan.

Ivo van Hove’s last West End outing was new musical Opening Night starring Sheridan Smith, which only had a short run in London, primarily due to a slate of negative reviews.
Van Hove has had tremendous success with other Arthur Miller plays, primarily his Young Vic production of A View From the Bridge starring Mark Strong and Nicola Walker, which also played on Broadway, and scored him an Olivier Award and Tony Award.
Other recent Ivo van Hove productions include Jesus Christ Superstar in Amsterdam, and a West End production of A Little Life starring James Norton. Other new projects include a much-rumoured stage adaptation of The Shining starring Ben Stiller.
In June 2023, Ivo van Hove stepped down as artistic director of ITA (International Theater Amsterdam) after 22 years, succeeded by director Eline Arbo, who is currently directing the West End production of The Years at the Harold Pinter Theatre. Van Hove’s tenure at the ITA was not without controversy.
News of All My Sons was first reported by the Daily Mail. There is no further information on dates, venue or casting.
Previous London productions of All My Sons include a 2010 West End production starring David Suchet and Zoë Wanamaker; and a 2019 Old Vic revival starring Bill Pullman, Sally Field and Jenna Coleman.
All My Sons is playing at the Wyndham’s Theatre in London from 14 November 2025 to 7 February 2026.
