Wilton’s Music Hall has announced a diverse and dynamic lineup for its Summer 2025 season, offering an eclectic mix of music, theatre, and comedy that showcases the historic venue’s commitment to artistic innovation. Running from April to August, the season features an array of bold new productions, beloved classics, and fresh interpretations that promise to captivate audiences.
Among the highlights is Kate Butch: Wuthering Shites (28 May), a jukebox musical parody led by RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Kate Butch, promising a hilarious take on Kate Bush’s iconic music. Also making waves is Potty The Plant (24–28 June), a darkly whimsical musical featuring a singing, tap-dancing potted plant, blending comedy and absurdity in a way that delighted Edinburgh audiences.
The season also includes Song Queen: A Pidgin Opera (24–26 April), celebrating its 10th anniversary with Helen Epega’s innovative fusion of Western classical music and Nigerian Pidgin English, and Romeo and Juliet (10–21 June), a bold reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic by Flabbergast Theatre, featuring live music, clowning, and striking physical theatre.
Music lovers can look forward to The Mikado (3–7 June), a dazzling revival of Gilbert and Sullivan’s operetta by Opera della Luna, known for their signature blend of humour and spectacular costumes. Camille O’Sullivan returns with The Rape of Lucrece (13–17 May), an evocative concert performance of Shakespeare’s tragic poem, featuring original music by Feargal Murray.
Other standout events include Run At It Laughing (9–10 May), a cycle of ten new comedies by Mark Ravenhill inspired by 17th-century Italian farce, and CSI: Crime Scene Improvisation (4 July), an award-winning improv murder mystery where the audience decides the crime. Meanwhile, cabaret and music hall traditions remain strong with Ida Barr: Not Dead (27 May & 3 July), featuring vaudeville-infused ‘Artificial Hip Hop,’ and Carradine’s Cockney Sing-Along (2 July), a joyful celebration of East End musical heritage.
Closing the season, The Duke’s Theatre Company presents Macbeth (30 July–1 August), a contemporary take on Shakespeare’s psychological thriller, while A Night at the Musicals (18 July) sees the London Gay Big Band deliver a spectacular evening of show-stopping numbers.
