The UK premiere of a new Japanese musical is heading to London in February 2025, with Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live playing HERE at Outernet in Soho, and Koko in Camden.

The new show is based on the famous Sailor Moon manga by Naoko Takeuchi, and the Japanese tokusatsu superhero TV series based on Sailor Moon called Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, produced by Toei Company.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live will run at HERE at Outernet on 4 – 5 & 23 – 26 February, and 2 – 4 and 16 – 19 March 2025, at HERE at Outernet; and 11 – 13 and 17 – 19 February, and 9 – 11 March 2025, at KOKO.

The show, which is billed as being in “2.5D”, had its world premiere in Tokyo in summer 2018, and European premiere in Paris the same year.

The all-female cast includes Yui Yokoyama as Sailor Moon / Usagi Tsukino; Yui Oikawa as Sailor Mercury / Ami Mizuno; Marisa Yasukawa as Sailor Mars / Rei Hino; Rio Tachibana as Sailor Jupiter / Makoto Kino; Yu Nakanishi as Sailor Venus / Minako Aino; Mayu Tsuyuzume as Queen Beryl; and Sufa as Tuxedo Mask / Mamoru Chiba.

The Dark Performer ensemble includes Shiho Ota, norip, Miki Furusawa, Yuri Hirano, YOU, and Mayu Omoshita.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live has a book, lyrics and direction by Kaori Miura (The Prince of Tennis, Tokyo Revengers The Musical), music by Go Sakabe and KYOHEI, and choreography by Satomi Toma.

The original TV series had three anime seasons between 2014 and 2016, and two two-part movies, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie, and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie.

There has been over 40 stage musicals in total built around the Sailor Moon brand.
