New in are the first production photos of Dr. Strangelove – in this major new screen-to-stage adaptation of Stanley Kubrick’s classic movie.

The movie is getting a stage reboot courtesy of BAFTA and Emmy Award winner Armando Iannucci (The Thick of It, Veep), who has co-adapted the show with Olivier Award winner Sean Foley, who also directs.

The dark comedy will star multi-award winning stage and screen actor Steve Coogan (Alan Partridge) as Dr Strangelove, President Merkin Muffley, Group Captain Lionel Mandrake and Major TJ Kong; and Olivier Award winner Giles Terera (Hamilton, Clyde’s, Passing Strange) as General Buck Turgidson.
They are joined by John Hopkins (General Jack D. Ripper), Oliver Alvin-Wilson (Jefferson), Penny Ashmore (Vera Lynn), Ben Deery (General Staines), Richard Dempsey (Frank), Mabli Gwynne (Swing), Mark Hadfield (Faceman), Tony Jayawardena (Russian Ambassador Bakov), Tom Kelsey (Ensemble), Daniel Norford (Ensemble), Dharmesh Patel (Lincoln), Adam Sina (Ensemble), Alex Stoll (Ensemble) and Ben Turner (Colonel Bat Guano).

The show promises to be an explosively funny satire of mutually assured destruction, about a rogue U.S. General who triggers a nuclear crisis.
Dr. Strangelove started performances at the West End’s Noël Coward Theatre on 8 October 2024, and is running to 25 January 2025 in London.
The show will also play Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from 5 to 22 February 2025.
