Tony Awards 2024 – Winners announced in New York

The winners of the 77th annual Tony Awards 2024 have been revealed in New York – see the full list of Tony Award winners 2024.

The Tony Awards ceremony took place at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City last night, Sunday 16 June 2024, once again hosted by Ariana DeBose.

Organised by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, the Tony Awards are Broadway theatre’s most prestigious awards.

British export Cabaret won one Tony Award out of a possible 9, for British set and costume designer Tom Scutt, who picked up best scenic design for a musical.

Also Maria Friedman’s acclaimed production of Merrily We Roll Along, which originated at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London and is produced by her sister Sonia Friedman, picked up 4 awards including Best musical revival, and acting wins for Brit Daniel Radcliffe, and Jonathan Groff.

In terms of the big categories, The Outsiders picked up best new musical, with Stereophonic taking home best new play, and Appropriate winning best revival of a play.

The eligibility date for the awards was Thursday 25 April 2024 for all Broadway productions which met the eligibility requirements.
