First look photos are have been released for Marie Curie – now playing at Charing Cross Theatre in London’s West End.

A powerful new musical about one woman’s groundbreaking journey in the male-dominated world of science, Marie Curie celebrates the life and death of the Nobel Prize winning scientist. A huge hit in Japan and Korea, the show receives its English language premiere at Charing Cross Theatre.

Headlining the show is Alisa Davidson (Heathers The Musical, Dracula: Mina’s Reckoning) in the title role of Marie Curie.

She is joined in the cast by Chrissie Bhima (The Witches) as Anne Kowalska, Thomas Josling (Scandaltown) as Pierre Curie, and Richard Meek (The Rocky Horror Show) as Ruben Dupont. The ensemble features Christopher Killik, Dean Makowski-Clayton, Rio Maye, Yujin Park, Isabel Snaas, Maya Kristal Tenenbaum and Lucy Young.

Marie Curie is directed by Sarah Meadows (Ride), who discusses the show in the rehearsal video, alongside cast and creatives of the show.

Marie Curie has music by Jongyoon Choi, a book and lyrics by Seeun Choun, an English book adaptation by Tom Ramsay, English lyrics adaptation by Emma Fraser, and a literal translation by Ahreumbi Rew.

The creative team behind Marie Curie includes Musical Director Emma Fraser, Choreographer Joanna Goodwin, Sound Designer Andrew Johnson, Casting Director Jane Deitch, Production Manager James Anderton, and General Management Aria Entertainment.

Marie Curie runs until 28 June at Charing Cross Theatre in London
