Production photos are in for the latest revival of Pet Shop Boys musical Closer to Heaven at London’s Turbine Theatre.

Closer to Heaven features West End star Frances Ruffelle (Les Miserables, Starlight Express) as Billie Trix, Courtney Bowman (Legally Blonde The Musical, Six) as Shell Christian, Glenn Adamson (Bat Out Of Hell) as Dave, Connor Carson (The Phantom Of The Opera) as Lee, Kurt Kansley (RENT) as Vic Christian, David Muscat (Billy Elliot) as Bob Saunders, Lewis Brown (Queenz) as Flynn, and Beth Curnock, Jamie Tait and Cian Hughes as Babes.

Closer to Heaven has an original club score by international pop stars Pet Shop Boys, and a book by award-winner Jonathan Harvey (Beautiful Thing, Here You Come Again).

Directed by Simon Hardwick, the production’s creative team also includes Musical Director Aaron Clingham, Choreographer Christopher Tendai, Sound Designer Dan Samson, Lighting Designer Jack Weir, Video Designer Andy Walton, Production Manager Phil McCandlish, Company Stage Manager James Prendergast, Company Stage Manager Franki McEwan, Sound Associate Rich Carter, and Seating Re-confirguation Manager Daniel Palmer

The 2001 musical is set in London’s club scene at the Millennium, with the Turbine Theatre is set to be transformed into Vic’s Club for the production.

Closer to Heaven is playing at the Turbine Theatre from 31 May to 30 June 2024.
