Full casting has been announced for Simon McBurney’s revival of Mnemonic at the National Theatre.

Joining previously announced original cast members Richard Katz (The Master and Margarita) and Kostas Philippoglou (Captain Corelli’s Mandolin) will be Khalid Abdalla (The Crown), Thomas Arnold (Oslo), Laurenz Laufenberg (Beware of Pity), Tim McMullan (Mnemonic original cast), Hisham Abdel Razek (The Play That Goes Wrong), Sarah Slimani (Grenfell: In the Words of Survivors), Sophie Steer (Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead), Eileen Walsh (The Crucible) and Arthur Wilson (Force Majeure).

Mnemonic is revived at the National Theatre this June, 25 years since it first premiered to critical acclaim. Conceived and directed by Simon McBurney (Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead) this piece is as strikingly relevant today as it was 25 years ago

Complicite’s Mnemonic is a theatrical journey that intertwines origins and memory, exploring themes of human connection and loss. The show examines our relationship with the natural world and its influence on migration patterns, delving into questions of identity and belonging. Mnemonic weaves together disparate elements of human experience, linking past and present, and the stories we once told with the stories we tell now. Through a complex narrative, it creates a dynamic map of human history and experience.

Mnemonic is a co-production by The National Theatre and Complicité .

Mnemonic runs from 22 June to 10 August 2024 in the Olivier theatre at the National Theatre in London.
