Casting has been revealed for the English language premiere of Marie Curie, a musical about the life and death of the Nobel Prize winning scientist.
Directed by Sarah Meadows (Ride), Marie Curie will play Charing Cross Theatre in London from June 2024.
The show will star Alisa Davidson (Heathers The Musical, Dracula: Mina’s Reckoning) in the title role of Marie Curie, with Chrissie Bhima (The Witches) as Anne Kowalska, Thomas Josling (Scandaltown) as Pierre Curie, and Richard Meek (The Rocky Horror Show) as Ruben Dupont.
The ensemble will feature Christopher Killik, Dean Makowski-Clayton, Rio Maye, Yujin Park, Isabel Snaas, Maya Kristal Tenenbaum and Lucy Young.
Marie Curie has music by Jongyoon Choi, a book and lyrics by Seeun Choun, an English book adaptation by Tom Ramsay, English lyrics adaptation by Emma Fraser, and a literal translation by Ahreumbi Rew.
The show had its world premiere in South Korea, where it won a number of stage awards including the Grand Prize at the Korea Musical Awards.
The creative team for Marie Curie will also include Musical Director Emma Fraser, Choreographer Joanna Goodwin, Sound Designer Andrew Johnson, Casting Director Jane Deitch, Production Manager James Anderton, and General Management Aria Entertainment.
Marie Curie is playing at the Charing Cross Theatre in London from 1 June to 28 July 2024.
