Rehearsal photos are in for The Dream of a Ridiculous Man at Marylebone Theatre.
Award-winning stage and screen actor Greg Hicks (Oklahoma!, Coriolanus) stars in this one-man play which is adapted and directed by Laurence Boswell (A Day in the Death of Joe Egg).
Inspired by Dostoyevsky’s 19th century tragi-comedy The Dream of a Ridiculous Man, Boswell’s adaptation transports the play to 21st century London and centres on themes of climate change, nationalism and the impact of humans on the world around us. The show is billed as a “thought-provoking yet hilarious exploration of human nature”.
In his 5-decade career Hicks (70) has played leading roles at the National, RSC and West End, including the Olivier-winning Oklahoma! at the Young Vic, Ghosts at the Sam Wanamaker Theatre and Coriolanus at the Old Vic; and with screen credits including movie blockbuster Snow White and the Huntsman.
The Dream of a Ridiculous Man will play at the Marylebone Theatre from 21 March to 20 April 2024.
