Hampstead Theatre in London has revealed casting for the world premiere production of John Logan’s new play Double Feature.

Directed by award-winner Jonathan Kent, Double Feature explores the glamour and grit of the movie world, and is based on real life people from Hollywood’s Golden Age. The play promises to question where the power in Hollywood truly sits – with the star on screen, or in the director’s chair.

Double Feature is written by Golden Globe and Tony award-winning writer John Logan, writer of movies The Aviator, Skyfall and Gladiator, and stage plays including Tony Award-winner Red, Peter and Alice, and the book for Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

The creative team also includes designer Anthony Ward; lighting designer Hugh Vanstone; sound designer Paul Groothuis and associate director, Stephen Whitson. The casting director is Sarah Bird CDG.

Double Feature will run at Hampstead Theatre from 8 February to 16 March 2024.
