Paul Mescal in Death of a Salesman

Paul Mescal is an acclaimed, award-winning Irish actor, famous for his roles on both stage and screen.

Paul Mescal makes his National Theatre debut in 2027, in Death of a Salesman and A Whistle in the Dark, both performed in rep.

Paul’s next projects include a movie adaptation of acclaimed novel and play Hamnet, alongside Jessie Buckley; Franklin Shepard’s new movie adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along; and Sam Mendes’ four new biopics of The Beatles, with Paul Mescal playing Paul McCartney.

Mescal recently starred in Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire in New York and at the West End’s Noel Coward Theatre, following sold-out runs at the Almeida Theatre and in the West End. Directed by Olivier and Critics’ Circle Award winner Rebecca Frecknall (Cabaret), Oscar nominated Paul Mescal won an Oliver Award for hit performance as Stanley.

His film work includes Hamnet, The History of Sound, Gladiator 2, All of Us Strangers, Aftersun (2023 Oscar nominated); Carmen; Foe; God’s Creatures; and The Lost Daughter.

Paul’s TV credits include Normal People (BAFTA for Best Actor).
