London’s West End shows are roaring back to life with lots of show extensions and additional performances scheduled over the Christmas period.
Wicked, the West End and Broadway hit musical, at the Apollo Theatre in Victoria has released an additional 500,00 new tickets and is now booking for performances until Sunday 29 November 2022.
Following its “triumphant return to the London stage” (Independent) on 15 September 2021, Wicked will also play Wednesday matinees at 2.30pm beginning this week (27 October 2021) and has added six extra Christmas shows: Tuesday 21 December 2:30pm, Friday 24 December 2.30pm, Monday 27 December 2:30pm & 7:30pm, Thursday 30 December 2:30pm and Friday 31 December 2.30pm 2021.
Now in its landmark 16th year, Wicked plays Tuesday-Saturday evening performances at 7.30pm with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm. The much loved show imagines a beguiling backstory and future possibilities to the lives of L. Frank Baum’s beloved characters from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and reveals the decisions and events that shape the destinies of two unlikely university friends on their journey to becoming Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
Tickets for Agatha Christies court room drama Witness for the Prosecution are now booking until 25 September 2022 at London’s County Hall. The hit production returned to the historic venue in September with a brand-new cast and was met by standing ovations and critical acclaim. The production has captured the imagination of audiences gripped by the case of Leonard Vole, accused of murder in cold blood. Director Lucy Bailey thrillingly places the audience in the thick of the action as Christie’s enthralling tale of justice, passion and betrayal unfolds around them.

The West End transfer of The Ocean at the End of the Lane is now booking until 24 April 2022 at the Duke of York’s Theatre.

The London revival of Jersey Boys is now booking at the Trafalgar Theatre until 1 May 2022.
