The West End production of Pretty Woman: The Musical will reportedly transfer to the Savoy Theatre when it reopens in London this July.
Aimie Atkinson (Six The Musical, In The Heights) and Strictly Come Dancing runner-up Danny Mac (White Christmas, Sunset Bouelvard) currently lead the London cast as Vivian and Edward.
Based on the much loved film starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, the story centres on a call girl and a hard-nosed business man, who despite their different circumstances and backgrounds fall in love.
The show began performances at the Piccadilly Theatre in January 2020 with significant advance ticket sales but was forced to shut in March due to the pandemic. Demand for tickets to the show is expected to be high.
Directed and choreographed by musical supremo Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Hairspray, Legally Blonde) the smash-hit musical features music and lyrics by American singer-songwriter Bryan Adams and his writing partner Jim Vallance and a book by Garry Marshall and J.F. Lawton.
Pretty Woman makes way for the highly anticipated Broadway hit Moulin Rouge! The Musical which is due to open later this year at the Piccadilly Theatre.
Tickets for Pretty Woman: The Musical are expected to resume booking in March 2021.
