New panto ‘Cinderella Live’ to stream with online interactive participation

Cinderella Live, a new live streamed interactive pantomime will premiere in the UK this Christmas.

In what is described as a world first for pantomime, Cinderella Live will allow the audience watching at home to engage with the live show by pressing buttons that trigger sounds in the studio. So get ready to boo, laugh, cheer, clap, shout ‘Behind You’ and even sing along with the cast in this ground-breaking fully interactive pantomime.

Daniel Coll, one of the creators and director of the show said “Panto audiences want to feel they are taking part and we have created a way to do that from home. By pressing buttons that trigger the sounds in the studio, they get to interact as if they were in the theatre itself.

Chris Rankin, best known as Percy Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise, is set to play Fairy Godfather, alongside Tim Churchill and Steve Fortune as the Ugly Sisters and Martin Callaghan as Barron Hardup. Casting is still to be announced for Cinderella and the Evil Step Mother.

Rankin said “I am over the moon to be working on this innovative production that will give the audience the feeling that they are sitting in the theatre itself as the actors perform Cinderella Live!”

Cinderella Live will receive its world premiere on Friday 18 December 2020, 7pm GMT, with additional performances on 19 December 2pm GMT; 24 December 12pm GMT. North American audiences can tune in on Monday 21 December 7pm EST and Australian and NZ audiences on 23 December, 7pm AEST.
