Hilarious family show Potted Panto returns to the Garrick Theatre in December, with a 10th anniversary production.
Written by former CBBC presenters Daniel Clarkson, Jefferson Turner and Richard Hurst, Potted Panto takes families on whirlwind journey through seven classic pantomime stories in 70 minutes.
Starring Daniel and Jeff, alongside Jacob Jackson and Charlotte Payne get ready to experience a dash for Aladdin’s lamp, roam the golden streets of Dick Whittington’s London, search for Cinderella’s lost slipper and try to wake Sleeping Beauty before coming head to head with Jack and a giant.
Potted Panto opens at the Garrick Theatre on 5 December 2021 for a limited Christmas run and will play to reduced capacity to comply with covid-19 guidelines. In addition to hand sanitation, face coverings and track and trace, other measures will include contactless tickets, temperature testing and the deep clean and sanitation of the theatre.
Producer James Seabright said he was “delighted to be working with Nica Burns and her brilliant team at Nimax Theatres to bring Dan and Jeff’s wonderfully funny show Potted Panto back to the West End”, adding it will offer families the chance to enjoy seven classic pantomime stories in 70 minutes.
“We’ve reduced ticket prices since our last season at the Garrick Theatre to make this festive treat as affordable as possible – after all, everyone needs a good laugh this Christmas,” he added.
The show is directed by Richard Hurst, with set and costume design by Simon Scullion and Nicky Bunch, lighting design by Tim Mascall, and sound design by Tom Lishman and Leigh Davies.
The Garrick Theatre is reopening under plans by Nimax to reopen all six of its West End venues, with shows already announced at the Lyric, the Apollo, the Palace Theatre and the Duchess Theatre.
Potted Panto runs from 5 December 2020 until 10 January 2020 at the Garrick Theatre, London
