Theatre Royal Bath returns to performances this Autumn with a seasons of classic plays featuring Nancy Carroll and Haydn Gwynne.
Carroll will perform in BETRAYAL, Harold Pinter’s mesmerising masterpiece of relationships and adultery told in reverse chronological order.
Joining the Olivier Award winning Carroll will be Joseph Millson, Edward Bennett and Christopher Bianchi. The play runs from 14 – 31 October 2020 and is directed by Jonathan Church.
Polly Findlay will direct Haydn Gwynne, Michael Gould and Philip Arditti in Michael Frayn’s multi award-winning drama COPENHAGEN which runs from 4 – 21 November 2020. Set in Nazi occupied Copenhagen, the play is a dazzling exploration of two brilliant minds and their motives.
The third piece in the season of revivals, will be David Mamet’s 1992 play OLEANNA. Set on an American university campus, a seemingly innocuous conversation between a smug lecturer and his female student threatens to destroy them both when she files a complaint of sexual harassment. Running from 25 November – 12 December, OLEANNA is directed by Nicole Charles with casting to be announced.
All performances will follow government guidance and will be staged with covid-secure measures including reduced capacity to allow for social distancing, mandatory face coverings (unless exempt), hand sanitiser units, thermal temperature checks, dedicated entry points, staggered arrivals and audience flow, fresh air circulation and enhanced cleaning.
