Sadler’s Wells to stream free dance performances and workshops on Facebook

Sadler’s Wells dance company has risen to the challenges posed by COVID-19 and abrupt the closure of all theatre venues by going on-line.

The dance company will present a programme of full length dance performances and workshops via its Facebook page with a new content released on a weekly basis.

The programme launches on World Theatre Day, Friday 27 March 2020 with an exclusive online screening of Deluxe by BalletBoyz at 7.30pm GMT – the same time the work was due to be performed in the theatre.

Upcoming shows in their Facebook Premieres series include a new version of  Wilkie Branson’s TOM, a dance for camera installation which would have formed part of the Digital Edition in April, and ballet LORENT’s spectacular family production, Rumpelstiltskin.

The company will also present a series of online dance workshops specially created for families with young children and over 60s to help them take part at home.

Further details in their Digital Stage programme will be announced in due course.
