Rufus Hound and Katy Brand to join ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ in West End

Rufus Hound and Katy Brand are the latest names to join the West End cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Apollo Theatre.

Actor, comedian and presenter Hound will play Hugo/ Loco Chanelle from 16 March 2020 until 30 May 2020. His recent theatre credits include David Walliams’ The Boy in the Dress (RSC), Don Quixote (Garrick Theatre), Dusty – The Dusty Springfield Musical (UK tour), Present Laughter (CFT) and The Wind In The Willows (London Palladium).

Hound said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be going into the cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie – a brilliant, brave and British smash hit.”

Actor, writer and comedian Brand will play Miss Hedge from 3 March 2020 until  20 June 2020. Brand said: “Joining the cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is a truly thrilling opportunity for me. If I could tell my teenage self that I would one day have the chance to perform in a huge hit show on the West End stage, that girl would pinch herself.” 

The cast is currently led by Noah Taylor in the title role.

Inspired by a documentary, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie opened at Sheffield Crucible in 2017 before transferring to its current home at the Apollo Theatre in late 2017. The musical features music by Dan Gillespie Sells, book and lyrics by writer Tom MacRae with direction by Jonathan Butterell and design by Anna Fleischle.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is booking until 29 August 2020 at the Apollo Theatre, London.
