Louise Redknapp & Brian Conley return to ‘9 to 5 The Musical’

Louise Redknapp & Brian Conley will return to West End musical 9 to 5.

Redknapp returns to the role of Violet, currently played by Caroline Sheen, on 10 February 2020 and will stay with the show until it closes on 23 May 2020.

Brian Conley re-joins the show from 23 March, reprising his role as Franklin Hart Jnr and will also close out the West End run.

US star David Hasselhoff leaves the production on 8 February with Sean Needham taking on the role of Hart until Conley re-joins the show.  Since leaving the show Redknapp & Conley have intermittently performed in the current UK touring production of the musical.

The West End premiere of Dolly’s Parton’s hit musical opened at the Savoy Theatre in January 2020 with Caroline Sheen stepping into the lead role at the last minute; Redknapp was due to open the show, but was forced to temporarily withdraw two weeks before opening night due to injury..

Despite the last minute cast changes the show opened to solid reviews and has been a much-needed light-hearted musical for London’s theatre-goers.

The musical comedy tells the story of three female work colleagues who decide to take revenge on their sexist boss and make a few work related changes at the same time.

The cast also features Chelsea Halfpenny as Judy Bernly, Natalie McQueen as Doralee Rhodes and Bonnie Langford as Roz Keith.

9 to 5 The Musical is written by Patricia Resnick, the screenwriter for the film, with music and lyrics by the Queen of Country music, Dolly Parton.

9 to 5 The Musical is booking until 23 May 2020 at the Savoy Theatre, London.

9 to 5 The Musical tickets are available.
