Rock comedy musical Heathers will embark on a UK tour in 2020.

Following two smash-hit seasons at The Other Palace Theatre and Theatre Royal Haymarket in London, Heathers The Musical is headed out on tour in spring 2020.

Based on the 80s cult teen film starring Winona Ryder (Stranger Things) and Christian Slater (Mr Robot), Heathers is a twisted tale of teen drama, friendship and deadly obsession. The high-octane black comedy musical has been adapted by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy and is directed by acclaimed American screen and stage director Andy Fickman.

The West End production starred Carrie Hope Fletcher (Les Misérables, The Addams Family) as Veronica Sawyer, with Jamie Muscato (Les Misérables, Rock of Ages) playing homicidal love interest Jason Dean, and Jodie Steele, Sophie Isaacs and T’Shan Williams cast as the titular Heathers.

The tour opens on 26 May 2020 at Brighton Theatre Royal and will then travel to Liverpool Empire Theatre (9-13 June), Cardiff Wales Millennium Centre (16-20 June), Sheffield Lyceum Theatre (23-27 June), Edinburgh Playhouse (7-11 July), Sunderland Empire (21-25 July), Bristol Hippodrome (28 July – 1 August) and Wimbledon New Theatre (22-26 September).

Further dates and casting to be announced.
