Further casting has been announced for the upcoming tour of Boeing-Boeing, which opens at Brighton’s Theatre Royal this September.

Susie Blake (Coronation Street, Mrs Brown’s Boys, Victoria Wood As Seen On TV) and Emily Head (The Inbetweeners) will play Bertha and Gretchen respectively, joining the previously announced Tom Lister (Emmerdale) and Daniel Casey (Midsomer Murders, Eastenders). Further casting is to be announced.

Guy Unsworth (Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em) will direct the multi-award winning classic comedy about about a man with three fiancés who are all flight attendants.  

Written by the French playwright Marc Camoletti, Boeing-Boeing premiered in France in 1960 with an english translation by Beverley Cross premiering in the West End in 1962.  Matthew Warchus directed a hit West End revival in 2007 starring Roger Allam, Mark Rylance, Frances de la Tour and Tamzin Outhwaite. The production then transferred to Broadway where it won two Tony Awards.

The tour opens at Brighton Theatre Royal on 4 September 2019 before visiting Glasgow, Southend, Richmond, Guildford, Birmingham, Winchester, Bromley, Derby, Peterborough, Darlington, Northampton, Huddersfield, Crewe, Dartford, Barnstaple and Woking, concluding in Nottingham on 2 May 2020.
