Southwark Playhouse to stage sexually-charged gay play Afterglow

Southwark Playhouse will stage the UK premiere of gay play Afterglow.

Afterglow explores the emotional, intellectual, and physical connections between three men and the broader implications within their relationships.

S. Asher Gelman’s “steamy stripped-down look at gay intimacy’ (Huffington Post), contains strong language, nudity and will run for seven weeks only from 5 June 2019 at Southwark Playhouse.

The one-act play premiered at the intimate 69 seat off-broadway Davenport Theater in 2017 where it ran for 14-months, selling 23,0000 seats and grossing over $1million.

The production will be directed by Tom O’Brien with further creative and casting to be announced.

Afterglow will run from 5 June 2019 until 20 July 2019 at Southwark Playhouse, London.
