West End hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has announced plans to tour the UK from 2020.
Inspired by the documentary ‘Jamie: Drag Queen at 16’, this funny, feel-good musical from ‘The Feeling’ Dan Gillespie-Sells and Tom MacRae opened to 5-star reviews and has won 7 major theatre awards, including the UK Theatre and What’s On Stage Awards for Best New Musical and the Attitude Culture Award 2017, and was nominated for 5 Olivier Awards.
The production said good-bye to its originating lead, John McCrae, last week and welcomes Layton Williams (RENT, Billy Elliot), into the role of Jamie New, alongside Eastenders Shane Ritchie and Coronation Street’s Hayley Tamaddon.
The musical will be shown in cinema’s on 29 January 2019 with the original lead and the cast recording is available to download via streaming services.
Tour dates and casting for Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will be announced in due course.
