Images have been released of All About Eve starring Gillian Anderson and Lily James which is currently rehearsing in London.
Ivo van Hove’s stage adaptation of the classic Hollywood film places Gillian Anderson as Margot Channing, acclaimed actress and a true star of the theatre, alongside Lily James as scheming upstart Eve Harington.
The highly anticipated production’s supporting cast includes BAFTA Award-winner Monica Dolan (A Very British Sex Scandal, W1A) in the role of Karen alongside Julian Ovenden (Downton Abbey) as Bill, veteran stage actress Sheila Reid (well known for playing Madge on ITV series Benidorm) as Birdie, Rhashan Stone (Killing Eve) as Lloyd and Stanley Townsend (Girl from the North Country Old Vic) as Addison DeWitt.
Rounding out the cast are Ian Drysdale, Tsion Habte, Jessie Mei Li, Philip Voyzey, Jessie Mei Li, Merric Boyd, Fejiro Emasiobi, Chanelle Modi, Stuart Nunn, Phillipa Peak and Michael Warburton, Charles Hagerty and Grace Stone.
The play is adapted and directed by Ivo van Hove with set and lighting by Jan Versweyveld, costume by An D’Huys music by PJ Harvey and sound by Tom Gibbons.
All About Eve begins previews 2 February 2019 at the Noël Coward Theatre with opening night on 12 February 2019 and a final performance on 11 May 2019.
