The 30th-anniversary tour of Fame The Musical will play a limited run at London’s Peacock Theatre in 2019.
The UK tour opened in Manchester in July this year and will play dates in Cardiff, Woking, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Bristol, Stoke, Sawnsea and more.
The show tours throughout the rest of 2018 and 2019 and arrives at London’s Peacock Theatre on 11 September 2019, playing until 19 October 2019.
Based on the hits 1980s film of the same name, the musical follows the lives of students at New York’s High School for The Performing Arts as they navigate the highs and lows of life.
Songs included in the musical are “Can’t Keep It Down“, “There She Goes/Fame!” and “Bring On Tomorrow“.
The cast includes Keith Jack (Any Dream Will Do) as Nick Piazza, alongside Mica Paris (Chicago) as Miss Sherman, and Jorgie Porter (Hollyoaks) as Iris Kelly.
Fame The Musical is directed and choreographed by Nick Winston with design by Morgan Large, sound by Ben Harrison and musical supervision by Mark Crossland..
David De Silva – the conceiver of Fame – said of the 30th-anniversary production: “The brilliantly directed and choreographed 30th anniversary Fame UK production of the show by Nick Winston is the best I’ve ever seen.”
Star casting for the London run is to be announced.
