Martin McDonagh’s A Very Very Very Dark Matter confirm cast for London premiere

Full casting has been announced for Martin McDonagh’s highly anticipated new play A Very Very Very Dark Matter which premiere’s at the Bridge Theatre this October.

Acadedmy Award winner Jim Broadbent will play Hans Christian Anderson in McDonagh’s fictional account of how the legendary Danish story-teller dreamt up the exquisite and fantastic children’s tales beloved by millions.

The cast also includes Phil Daniels King Lear (Chichester Festival Theatre), This House (National Theatre), Elizabeth Berrington The Low Road (Royal Court) and Johnetta Eula’Mae Ackles who makes her professional stage debut.

Completing the cast are Alistair Benson, Paul Bradley, Noah Brignull, Regan Garcia, Leo Hart, Graeme Hawley, Audrey Hayhurst, Kundai Kanyama, Lee Knight, Jamie McKie, Ryan Pope, James Roberts, Alice Selwyn, Austin Taylor, Amelia Walter and Annabelle Westenholz-Smith including nine children who will alternate a variety of roles.

Rehearsals began yesterday for the world premiere of Martin McDonagh’s new play which begins its 12 week run at the Bridge Theatre on 12 October 2018.

The production is directed by Matthew Dunster with design by Anna Fleischle, the team behind the award winning play Hangmen.

A Very Very Very Dark Matter will run from 12 October 2018 until 6 January 2019 at the Bridge Theatre, London.
